Create a free account About fees Why there’s a fee The fee is set by local, state, and federal law, and by the fee schedule you accept when you sign up. ChartRequest calculates it for each request. Records are free only when one healthcare provider requests them from another. When your request is priced, we email you a link to it. Questions patients ask Can I request records for someone else? Yes. From your account you can request your own records or a dependent’s. How will I know when they’re ready? We email you, and you can log in to check the status at any time. Why aren’t they available right away? The request is checked first — who is asking and which records it covers — and then the records are gathered and protected on the way to you. Paper or archived records take longer. How long can I get to them? For 30 days with a free account. Subscribe and Share keeps them available for $4.99 a month.
